Warranty Duration

Warranty Statement

Steel Steeds extends the following warranty to the original purchaser for the duration specified in the table above. During that period, each product is warranted against manufacturing defects (i.e., defects in materials and workmanship) under normal use and service, and does not cover normal wear-and-tear. This warranty is void if the product is damaged by:

1. Misuse, abuse, or accident
2. Installation of any unauthorized accessory
3. Unauthorized modification or alteration
4. Improper installation, including the use of incorrect tools
5. Exposure to harsh weather, road debris, chemicals, or other hazards
6. Insufficient or improper maintenance
7. Unauthorized repairs

Additionally, the warranty becomes null and void if the product is opened, if any label or sticker is tampered with, broken, or removed, or if damage occurs due to any other factor beyond Steel Steeds’ control.

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL STEEL STEEDS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR SPECIAL DAMAGES. ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMED.

BALL JOINTS
This warranty does not cover damage resulting from accidents, alterations, neglect, misuse, abuse, improper use, insufficient or improper maintenance, incorrect assembly, racing, or commercial use. Under no circumstances will Steel Steeds be liable for any loss, inconvenience, or damage arising from a breach of this warranty. This warranty does not cover wear items such as gaskets, seals, boots, bearings, bushings, or rotors.

DIFFERENTIALS
Use only approved gear lubricant when filling the gear case. Failure to properly fill and maintain the lubricant voids this warranty. Steel Steeds provides a limited 18-month warranty that applies solely to the original purchaser. This warranty covers the product and its parts (excluding bearings, seals, and gaskets) and is limited to defects in materials and/or workmanship at the time of shipment from the factory. Under no circumstances will Steel Steeds be liable for consequential damages of any kind resulting from a breach of this warranty. This warranty becomes void if the product shows evidence of misapplication, improper installation, abuse, poor maintenance, negligence, or any alteration from the original design. This warranty is provided in lieu of any other expressed or implied warranties, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

In some cases, after inspection, a replacement fee may be charged for damaged parts (prices vary depending on the parts that need replacing). Steel Steeds will make every effort to address issues promptly to get you back on the trails. If you have a product that is outside the warranty coverage or if inspection reveals evidence of misapplication, improper installation, abuse, lack of proper maintenance, negligence, or alteration from the original design, the customer will be notified. We can perform the repair for a flat fee of $250.

GDP PORTAL GEAR LIFTS
Always use 80W-90 gear oil when filling the gear box. Using grease can cause damage to gears and bearings and will void your warranty. Steel Steeds is committed to keeping your GDP Portal Gear Lift fully operational. Therefore, we offer a lifetime portal protection warranty to the original purchaser under the following conditions. The warranty covers the product and its parts (excluding bearings, rotors, seals, and gaskets) and is limited to defects in materials and/or workmanship at the time of shipment from the factory. Under no circumstances will Steel Steeds be liable for any form of consequential damages resulting from a breach of this warranty. This warranty is void if the product shows any evidence of misapplication, improper installation, abuse, lack of maintenance, negligence, or alteration from the original design. This warranty supersedes any other expressed or implied warranties, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

When your warranty parts arrive at Steel Steeds, our technicians will inspect them to determine whether damage resulted from a manufacturing defect or user/installation error. Inspections typically occur within 1–2 business days after we receive the package. We will then contact you with the results. Depending on the outcome, you may be responsible for a replacement fee (costs vary based on the parts needing replacement). Steel Steeds does its best to resolve claims quickly so you can return to the trails. Additionally, we can match your shipping preference: if you choose overnight shipping for your warranty parts, we will return your replacement parts via overnight shipping at no extra cost.

If your product is outside of warranty coverage or if our inspection determines that the product shows evidence of misapplication, improper installation, abuse, lack of proper maintenance, negligence, or alteration from the original design, you will be notified, and we can perform the necessary repairs for a flat $250 fee.

Replacement bearings, seals, and gaskets are available through Steel Steeds.

TURN SIGNAL KITS
This warranty does not apply to any damage caused by improper installation, unauthorized modifications to any kit component, crashes, impact or abuse, and/or water entering the electrical components. Warranty coverage is extended only to the original purchaser.

Warranty Procedure

For all Steel Steeds products, our sole and exclusive remedy under this warranty is to replace, free of charge, any item that Steel Steeds reasonably determines fails to meet the above warranty criteria. If you need a replacement for a product covered by this warranty, please submit a Warranty Form.

Please note the following:

• This warranty applies only to the original purchaser.
• Proof of purchase is required for all warranty claims.
• Items must be returned to Steel Steeds for inspection within 30 days from the date the Warranty Form is submitted (please contact our Returns/Warranty Department if an extension is needed).
• The customer is responsible for shipping the item to Steel Steeds and retaining the tracking information until we confirm receipt.

In certain cases, the manufacturer directly provides the warranty. For warranty procedures for other manufacturers (e.g., SuperATV, MTX, Garmin, Cardo, DynoJet), please consult their respective websites.

Replacement Fees

1. Rhino Axles (excluding boots)

   • If an axle fails for any reason within 60 days of purchase, Steel Steeds will ship a replacement free of charge.
   • If it fails after 60 days but within one year of purchase, the purchaser must pay a $50.00 replacement fee.
   • Proof of purchase and proof of breakage are required for all warranty claims.

2. Rhino 2.0 Axles (excluding boots)

   • If an axle fails for any reason within 60 days of purchase, Steel Steeds will ship a replacement free of charge.
   • If it fails after 60 days but within 18 months of purchase, the purchaser must pay a $50.00 replacement fee.
   • Proof of purchase and proof of breakage are required for all warranty claims.

3. Phoenix / X300 Axles (excluding boots)

   • Warranted to the original purchaser for three years from the date of purchase.
   • If the axle fails within three years, Steel Steeds will ship a replacement for a flat $100.
   • The axle may be replaced multiple times within the original warranty period.
   • Damage from lack of maintenance (e.g., prolonged operation with a torn boot and/or no grease) is excluded.

4. Prop Shafts

   • If a prop shaft fails within 60 days of purchase, Steel Steeds will ship a replacement free of charge.
   • If the failure occurs after 60 days but within the warranty period, the purchaser must pay a $75.00 replacement fee.
   • Proof of purchase and proof of breakage are required for all warranty claims.

Notices

Federal or state laws may grant additional rights or warranties for these products. Some jurisdictions may not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages. In certain circumstances, warranties may be offered directly by the manufacturer. For more information on specific manufacturer warranties, please refer to the respective manufacturer’s website.
