Return Policy

General

Steel Steeds offers a 90-day return policy for each product purchased from our store. Products returned under this policy may be eligible for a refund, subject to the guidelines and conditions outlined below.

Return Eligibility

To qualify for a return:

  1. Obtain a Return Number. (Please contact our Returns Department at returns@steelsteeds.co or call (614) 857-0925 for instructions.)
    • Obtaining a Return Number does not guarantee a refund or replacement.
  2. Return the product within 90 days of the original purchase date.
  3. The product must be in new, unused condition, in its original packaging.

Exceptions and Exclusions

  • Made-to-order products (e.g., A-arms with pressed-in ball joints, mounted wheels/tires) may be returned, but will incur at least a 30% restocking fee if the return is approved.
  • Special order products (e.g., hand-held ECU tuners) cannot be returned.
  • Polycarbonate roofs and windshields ship with protective film on both sides. If the film is removed, the item is not eligible for return.
  • If original packaging is unavailable, or if the product has been modified or is missing components, there may be at least a 30% restocking fee if the return is approved.

Refunds

Approved returns under this policy are eligible for a full refund, less any restocking fees and shipping costs (see “Shipping Costs” below).

  • Refunds are typically processed within three (3) business days after Steel Steeds receives and inspects the returned item.
  • Once issued, refunds are applied to the original payment method. If that payment method is no longer valid, Steel Steeds will issue a check to the original purchaser’s address on file.
  • Additional time may be required by your financial institution to reflect the refunded amount in your account.

Shipping Costs

Customers are responsible for the cost of shipping returned items, unless Steel Steeds approves an exception in advance.

  • Original shipping costs from your initial purchase are non-refundable.

Exceptions

If Steel Steeds ships the incorrect item or makes another error, any additional fees (including shipping) will be waived. If you are uncertain about whether your item qualifies for a return, please contact our customer service at (614) 857-0925 or email returns@steelsteeds.co.


Re-stocking Fee Guidelines

  • Made-to-order parts: A 30% restocking fee will apply if returned in new, restockable condition.
  • Refused packages: A 20% restocking fee plus a $20 per package fee to cover shipping costs.
  • Wrong item ordered by the customer: A 25% restocking fee may apply, and can be higher if the item is not in restockable condition.
  • Unwanted items: A 25% restocking fee may apply, and can be higher if the item is not in restockable condition.
  • In all cases, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs unless otherwise approved by Steel Steeds.
